- Already they are spending 5 & 1/2 years to complete their studies, one more year is adding more burden
- Financially week students cannot afford 6+ years, as they may availed loans for their studies.
- One cannot force them to serve, can we afford 'All the Engineers should work in rural development under government for one year' or 'Ever indian youth should server in defense for two years'
- One cannot prepare for their Higher degrees by serving in rural areas, as the MD is becoming mandatory for all the students.. (We cannot afford to undergo a cardiac surgery from a M.B.B.S graduate !!)
- Salary provided during their rural service is Rs.8000/ which is relatively less
- Also an Trainee Doctor cannot be responsible for any death occurs during his rural service, he is supposed to serve under a qualified & experience doctor
This may lead to unhealthy situation as the Strike of Doctors continues.
| My 2 cents!! Try to fit in the One year(may be 8-9 months) Rural service with in the 5 & 1/2 year period, if possible |
